The History

Well, i love art and grapics design, thats is what i'm doing at the moment, or doing well at. One day i was bored and was looking at my friends piczo site, and i thought well i've got nothing better to do so i might aswell make one too. I named it its-beth-here.piczo.com, it was a pretty basic name and still is now. My piczo site used to be just a general blog site about me. But then i got looking at a few other graphic sites, e.g vejc and spicygraphicss so i wondered if i could do stuff like that, so i basically changed my site to a bit of a graphic site. The site is on piczo and that is really easy, it's practically a ready made site all you have to do it put a few pics and text on it and it's done. I clicked on a link to desiredwish.vintage-kiss.com and it said something about that her host is syiekatuya.co.uk, then i clicked on it. I read the front page and i wanted to be hosted, a bit of a challenge, so i did and she hosted me. Lucy (syiekatuya.co.uk) has been really helpful to me and my site, and that's the story.

The Name

Well, there's not much really to the name of this site, but i'll tell you a bit.
On Lucy's website it says that if you are hosted in a sub-domain you can choose from some of these names. I chose vintage-kiss, i think it sounds really cool so i chose it. So my site name would be www.yoursitename.vintage-kiss.com. For the other part i just decided to call it beth, obviously thats my name, it's easy to remember and it's not too long.
So now you know the story.

The Layouts

1. June '07 - 18. June '07 || Ft. Ashley Tidale

COMMENT: Well, i really like this layout at first. But then i thought that there were too many pictures and it looked a bit stupid where i've made parts of Ashley's clothing blue. I'd kept it on for quite a while, whilst i was actually making the basics of the site. Not the best layout ever.

18. June '07 - 23. June '07 || Ft. Anne Hathaway

COMMENT: I really like this layout, but because i made the layout too big i had to space the blog and side bar a bit to far apart, and they also had big borders around them. I loved the colours, blue and different shades of grey. I think layouts always look good with parts in greyscale. I also think the text on it was too big.

23. June '07 - 27. June '07 || Ft. Pete Wentz

COMMENT: I absolutely L O V E Pete Wentz, and also those pictures. I think the colours are nice and i like the layout//tables in columns in the rectangular fixed background. I like the text i used on here, it is called gastada. Pete Wentz is such a poser!

27. June '07 - 1. July '07 || Ft. Avril Lavigne

COMMENT: This has to be my favourite layout of the first five i have done. I blended the pink picture with the greyscale one so it looks like a big light is shining down on her. I also like the brushes. The swirly one and the butterfly make it look really pretty. The swirl brush i have made gradient filled going from black to pink. I have kept the layout and table positions within the background the same.

COMMENT: This one i don't like as much, that's why i only kept it on for a few days. It took me ages to find the pics and the green doesn't really go well with them. I have used the same font and the same brushes, oh and also the same layout position thing.

4. July '07 - 10. July '07 || Ft. Vanessa-Anne Hudgens

COMMENT: I really love this layout, it is simple but effective. And also very bright and colourful. One this one i made the i-frame alot wider but kept the side-bar the same width. The background wasn't as boring as the others were either. I used 3 pictures and just one brush this time, and made the brush transparent, also i made the first letter of each word on it a different colour as you can see if you click the thumbnail. Anyway i hope you like it too.

10. July '07 - 15. July '07 || Ft. Gisele Bundchen

COMMENT: Definately the best layout i've ever made, by far! I love the colours and the pictures, she's a great model. I had to take it down because it had been up for too long :(. This is also my first effort of HTML image mapping (not in paint shop pro.) So overall i loved this layout and so did everyone vistiting (lots of people commented on it.)

COMMENT: I wasn't very happy with the way this one turned out. The colours were too plain and boring for my homepage, that's why i had up up for hardly and time atall.

COMMENT: I love this layout, it's so summery. The brushes took ages to do. I really like the colours and the way the pics were organised so it looked like she was hanging down haha.

COMMENT: I also did this layout as a summer one. I think i used too much brushes, but it still looked good. I like the colours on this one too.

COMMENT: Well, this one was my final summer one. I used loads of different colours on here. Also lots of brushes, i was very pleased with how this one turned out.

4. September '07 - 30. September '07 || Ft. Pete Wentz

COMMENT: Well, i've used these pictures quite alot now, but i thought that they looked relly good with green and blue. So i learnt how to make a new brush, the blurred circles. I'm quite happy with this layout, but i think i need something a bit more complicated. This one was easy to make.

30. September '07 - 7. October '07 || Ft. The Arctic Monkeys

COMMENT: I love the Arctic Monkeys. This was my first layout after re-vamping and converting to php. I do quite like this layout, the colours looked very good, but i think maybe the layout was a bit big.

7. October '07 - 19. October '07 || Ft. Avril Lavigne

COMMENT: Well, lots of people commented on this layout (saying itwas really good) and i like it too. Probably one of my favourites now. I like the brushes i used on it, and also the colours clash, which makes it look really good. Yep, i love this layout. I left it on as long as possible too :D

19. October '07 - 28. October '07 || Ft. Vexel

COMMENT: This was one of my most random layouts, but i love it! It looks very cartoony and very cool. I mde some of this vexel, and changed the colours of it. I'm really pleased with this one. Also i kept the colours from the one above cos i loved them so much <3.

28. October '07 - 9. November '07 || Ft. Joss Stone

COMMENT: I think this one looks quite cool, i edited the pictures in Paint Shop Pro to give it a glow effect and colourised it a bit to bring out the colour. I made it a bit too big and i don't think i should have put my welcome not and top affies on there. The colours clash, but i like it.

COMMENT: I love this layout. It took mne ages to get those ace colours and do all the effects with the brushes etc. I probably used a few too many colours on it, but i like the way it was layed out with the sidebar in two columns with the blog next to the layout.

23. November '07 - 29. November '07 || Ft. Brenda Song

COMMENT: The effects i used on the one was yes, very weird and i had a few comments telling me that it was weird in a cool way lol =P. I liked the colours i used because i don't often use grey black and pink. I made the pink part behind Brenda look 3D by making the middle lighter and gradually getting darker. Overall i do like this one.

29. November '07 - . January '07 || Ft. Christmas Tree Vexel

COMMENT: I think this layout is very simple, but very effective. I love that it is all one colur but just different shades of it, I made it as 'christmassy' and 'wintery' as i could, but did get complaints about having to highlight the text cause it was to light to see (i don't know why cause i could see it =P). I kept this up for ages because i love it so much <3.
